I feel like I'm eating more than whats coming out the other end. I go to toilet fine, no discomfort other than from my ileostomy cut which is healing nicely but I just feel like there should be more. The irony is I went through all this to stop going to the toilet as much, now I feel like I'm not going enough

The other thing is my stomach is swollen, I presume this is just down to the surgery, things are sore & bruised so it will eventually go down. I can tell when I need to go to the toilet as a little pressure builds up behind where the ileo was. Will that go away as things heal?

Bare in mind I've literally had my J-pouch less than a week so perhaps this is the norm to begin and I'm just worrying for nothing

Hello Ben,

How are things going now? I hope the swelling has improved and you are starting to get a routine. Please post again with more questions as you recuperate.

Cheers, Sarah

Evening Sarah, I'm very well. Saw my surgeon today who is over the moon with my recovery and how well things are working as am I. Currently going between 3 and 4 times a day. A bowl of porridge in the morning seems to do the trick, wont  go to the toilet until 6 or 7 hours later.

Now looking at sorting out my diet and getting back to exercising
