It's more like just knowing when you need to go, being full, and  when you feel like you have sat long enough to know that you aren't or shouldn't feel the need to have another bowel movement for awhile. It's not werid but I'm assuming that you are new to jpouch territory and you will hopefully develop these skills over time. I found it very hard to adjust to having a twenty plus minute BM in the evening before bed but this way I feel empty enough to sleep all night occasionally.
