Re: J Pouch Surgery Process

Hi Everyone,

I have an ileostomy and would like to have j pouch surgery, but I'm having difficulty finding surgeons in Arizona. Does anyone know of a good j pouch surgeon in Arizona or California? Or did you travel out of state for your surgery, and if so, what was the process from initial consult to final surgery? How long did you stay in the state after each surgical procedure? Also, if you flew into see Dr. Remzi, can you please share your experience with me?

I had Dr. Jacques Heppal operate on ye in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1984. He is definitely experienced. He is Phoenix, Arizona. I found his info here:
