Hello All,

My mom initially had a straight colon anal connection surgery to remove her colon cancer.

She is tethered to the toilet and no longer has a life. She suffers from multiple bowel movements a day and can barely eat. If she want to leave the house she has to starve herself. She is in deep agony and has severe depression.

I attempted using the find a surgeon link on the homepage but it did not work.

We have been looking for a surgeon who is capable to do a reconstructive colonic J-pouch for 3 years. It is not the same as the ileoanal j pouch. If you don't mind me asking, what was the name of your surgeon and if you know of any other successful J-pouch surgeons would you please let me know.

How far is she willing to travel? I see you are in Oklahoma. Is your mom also there? I should think that most colorectal surgeons are familiar with a colonic j-pouch. how much colon does she have left? Has she discussed this revision with her surgeon? If he can't do it, he probably refer her to someone who can.

The Mayo and Cleveland Clinics are always a good choice.
