J pouch removed rectum only

Hello,

I was very fortunate in discovering a stage 1 tumor in my rectum last year. I had j pouch surgery, temporary illeostomy and take down in march. I am still adjusting to diet and digestion problems and am looking for those who have had similar surgery experience. Thanks in advance

So, I presume you have a colonic j-pouch? Your function would be quite a bit different thanmost of us here, who had total proctocolectomy. But, there have been a few with the same surgery as you. They are not regular posters though. You should expect near normal function eventually, but could take up to a year.
