Not quite sure if it is the pysco-somatic effect of hearing the diagnosis, the PT + high dosage anti-inflamatories and muscle relaxants or the new vitamins (adult 50+ megas that I crush and drink with juice + extra iron, D+Calcium and selenium)or the fact that the sun is shinning brightly but I am feeling better (finally!).
I worked out for the first time in the park today..,or at least did 1/2 a workout (10 x 70 stairs + the hill 3xs) and a bit of arms...and I survived without falling over or feeling like I was going to have a heart attack.
The new vitamins are for something in this...the gummies just are not enough dosage-wise and the over 50's seem to help within a week but need crushing or they don't dissolve.
It is probably a combination or all 3 plus all of the spring fruits and veggies are purifying my system nicely (asparagus or artichokes, strawberries and tons of citrus at 2 out of 3 meals every day)and I drink the cooking liquid from the veggies...
The PT is now putting the ultasonic pads on my feet too so I can now walk without pain...the first time since September that I am feeling a bit optimistic about life and feeling so much less pain,
Hubby commented today, when we went to the park, that I was no longer in tears every time that I moved or got up...
So, whatever it is, I hope to keep doing it because it helps.
Don't give up the good fight...there is a light at the end of the tunnel...even if it is a tiny one.

2nd full workout in 3 days and the only pain is the normal workout pain plus about 25% more...that is better than the previous 100% hell after nothing but a walk.
Don't feel 90 anymore (closer to 60)...
The PT is upping the deep tissue stimulation on the foot and back so hopefully that will keep the improvement up...keep my fingers crossed...1st time in 8 months that I have been able to get in or out of the car without screeching.
Pouch hurts less too.
Pray that this is permanent.
Could upping my Vit 'D' be part of the improvement?

12 for dinner, grocery shopping, farmer's market on foot (carried about 30lbs of fruits and veggies in my arms and over my shoulder for over a mile), cooking, cleaning and work...I spoke too soon....OUCH! Add the G-kids for the weekend plus another diner for 8 and I am DONE.
Happy Easter to one and all and please do not over do it...can't wait til Tuesday when I see my PT again.

Fine, You are right...I do not know the meaning of the word Moderation but I am learning the expression, "I need a nap...Now!"
Am collapsing like clockwork almost every day at 3pm...anything beyond that and I get silly-dumb-exhausted and can't put one foot in front of the other.
An hour on the sofa (too proud to hit the bed) and I am raring to go again.
I still worked out this morning but slightly less than usual and did a whole lot more stretching and abs to ease the back and legs...helps while I do it and for about an hour afterwards....
Off to the my happy place filled with Advil and snoozing...
Sharon
