So, I'm basically drug free these days (probiotics, multi-vitamin and OTC gas pills) are all I'm taking on a regular basis.

I had a wedding this weekend and popped an immodium about two hours before the Friday rehearsal dinner and then the ceremony to hopefully prevent multiple trips to the rest room during the events.

Friday night was great.  Got through the entire rehearsal without need for a restroom, slept through the night after a pre-bedtime trip to the loo, and only went once Saturday morning before getting ready for the wedding.

I took a second Imodium about 24 hours after the Friday dose, and had a couple of bathroom trips during the wedding and a good day yesterday.

But, my stool was almost too thick--it was difficult to empty totally, and there seemed to be more gas issues (lots of anal pressure, but minimal stool after an explosive passing of gas that relived the pressure, with some moderate straining to expel the gas/stool).

My general baseline these days (4 months out from takedown) is 6-10 bathroom trips a day, depending on diet choices, etc, and as I gain energy and attempt to get back all the things I love to do, I would like to use Imodium when events or activities would be easier without being on my "normal" schedule, but I don't want to screw things up by straining, etc if the drug makes things too thick, especially in conjunction with gas that is difficult to pass for whatever reason.

I drink quite a lot of water and, these days, very little alcohol.  While I quite enjoy alcoholic beverages, since my takedown I haven't really felt like drinking much, so I've decided to listen to my body on that count.

For reference, at the rehearsal, I consumed two margaritas, with four 12 oz glasses of ice water, with regular water during the day beforehand.

At the wedding, I consumed three drinks (one beer, two mixed drinks) and six glasses of water, from 12-16 oz depending on the bartender, and regular water all day.
