The First Annual Interventional IBD Symposium is a two-day, CME-accredited virtual conference focusing on the up-to-date discussion on endoscopic management of IBD complication with a better understanding of the disease course of IBD. With the improved long-term impact of medical therapy and advances in endoscopic technology, our experts can foresee interventional IBD will become an integrated part of the multidisciplinary approach for patients with complex IBD.

Sadie--Good question.  Click 'next', which will take you to the register page.  I filled in my degree as 'patient', my speciality at 'k-pouch' and my company as hospital where treated.  Then I was registered.  The symposiums are open to patients.  Dr. Shen welcomes input from patients, although I didn't feel comfortable with speaking during the Q&A as felt that was for the professionals.

Glad you are interested.  Jan

Prior to the symposium you will be sent an agenda, which will allow you to schedule your time around topics of interest for you.  BONUS: you get a certificate at the end!!!  We need perks like that.

These symposiums are such a great way for patients to become more educated about their conditions and hence better able to communicate with their care givers and then make decisions about their care.  You can participate in a post-symposium evaluation.  For example, in the  prior symposium the Pouchitis session never mentioned diet/food, which I requested they do in future ones.

Stay well!  Jan
