TE,
Nice to know that you are (very) slowly improving....let's just hope that it is a trend and that you will continue to improve over time until you finally get your life back.
Huge hugs

Sharon - the angel in our midst! All of you really.
Now I have what I think is a bladder problem. I contacted the NP I was sloughed off to Monday. I really mean it. My PCP sent me to the Urology Office due to my frequent bladder infections the end of last year. I went in and they did an ultra sound and pronounced me cured. But to contact her if I have further infections. I didn't contact her when having 2 of them while in Texas the beginning of the year. I think I explained all of that to her but just got a call back saying that I don't have an infection and she would call me if the culture came back indicating an infection Wednesday. That's today.
I emailed her an update on the exact surgery I had and told her I am still having the numerous trips to the toilet with little to nothing coming out but pain. I googled it. There are other reasons for these symptoms, especially post abdominal surgery. I left a phone message with my favorite nurse at Mayo's. I bet she gets back to me sooner than the NP here. I know there are good doctors in that Urology office as one of them removed my husbands prostate due to cancer. And he is cancer free.....
So sorry around UTI or whatever it is - hope you get relief and help quickly. My gosh - it's so hard post op - on and on it goes -but you know if will get better ...eventually Keeping you in my thoughts
I complained too soon. The NP wants to set me up with a physical therapist for pelvic floor dysfunction therapy. Sounds much better than taking another drug. One of my surgeon's residents just returned my call and he said I should wait until 6 weeks out to do it. He also said that it is a lot to do with relaxing by doing things like breathing and works well. I told him he made my day. One day at a time.
sigh....
Yep - one day at a time. OH- how the mind wants to figure out the future - especially when one is ill, etc. Hang in there, TE!
I forgot to post that the day after the Urology NP suggested P.T. her office called me saying that I did have a bladder infection and she'd called in an antibiotic prescription. I finished taking it a few days ago and hope my recovery continues. A few steps forward then one backward.....
Keep it up TE!! So proud of you - I'm glad to hear from you. Why we have to wait so long to get the anti biotic or whatever it is drives me nuts - but then I realize it's "a system" and there are many others in line calling a doctor, etc. I remember years ago - when I had my pouch surgery - things were so different - I got instant help for anything. One call to doctor's nurse and I got help - well, that was 1987 - and healthcare was so different then. I feel like now doctors (many of them) are so miserable and feel so "put upon" that many just don't care all that much. I do not remember feeling this way - but maybe it's just me getting older. I just had a scope and am in so much pain - and I've never had this happen. Found ulcers - etc. - sorry to complain - you don't deserve to hear anyone complain - because you are doing so well. Sigh - just had to vent. Go TE!
