Now I have what I think is a bladder problem.  I contacted the NP I was sloughed off to Monday.  I really mean it.  My PCP sent me to the Urology Office due to my frequent bladder infections the end of last year.  I went in and they did an ultra sound and pronounced me cured. But to contact her if I have further infections.  I didn't contact her when having 2 of them while in Texas the beginning of the year.  I think I explained all of that to her but just got a call back saying that I don't have an infection and she would call me if the culture came back indicating an infection Wednesday.  That's today.

I emailed her an update on the exact surgery I had and told her I am still having the numerous trips to the toilet with little to nothing coming out but pain.  I googled it.  There are other reasons for these symptoms, especially post abdominal surgery.  I left a phone message with my favorite nurse at Mayo's.  I bet she gets back to me sooner than the NP here.  I know there are good doctors in that Urology office as one of them removed my husbands prostate due to cancer.  And he is cancer free.....

I complained too soon.  The NP wants to set me up with a physical therapist for pelvic floor dysfunction therapy.  Sounds much better than taking another drug. One of my surgeon's residents just returned my call and he said I should wait until 6 weeks out to do it.  He also said that it is a lot to do with relaxing by doing things like breathing and works well.  I told him he made my day.  One day at a time.

sigh....

Keep it up TE!!  So proud of you - I'm glad to hear from you.  Why we have to wait so long to get the anti biotic or whatever it is drives me nuts - but then I realize it's "a system" and there are many others in line calling a doctor, etc.  I remember years ago - when I had my pouch surgery - things were so different - I got instant help for anything.  One call to doctor's nurse and I got help - well, that was 1987 - and healthcare was so different then.  I feel like now doctors (many of them) are so miserable and feel so "put upon" that many just don't care all that much.  I do not remember feeling this way - but maybe it's just me getting older.  I just had a scope and am in so much pain - and I've never had this happen.  Found ulcers - etc. - sorry to complain - you don't deserve to hear anyone complain - because you are doing so well.  Sigh - just had to vent.  Go TE!
