I just recently posted about my recent resection.  A large portion of my small intestine fell behind the space that was behind my j-pouch and twisted itself until it was dead, causing a total blockage, and the need for over 2 ft of my bowel to be removed.

Long story short, I'm about 3-4 weeks post-op and have been having to strain to pass gas, liquid stool, everything.  This does concern me, but I know that I need to be patient as everything is swollen and takes time.  However, I just developed a hemorrhoid.  I have no idea how I'm going to get rid of it, if I constantly have to strain all day long.  Wondering if anyone has any ideas.  I'm thinking I need to push for them to examine my pouch, etc instead of waiting, as the surgeon wanted to do.  If there is something that can be fixed, if I fix it....the problem will be solved....right?  Only problem with that is that there is risk after surgery in doing so. Do any of you get these?  I've never had one in my life.  It hurts!!
