Help for chronic fissures ?

jeane, I hear your pain - fissures were the last straw when I finally decided to have my colon taken out.

While searing for butt creams on Amazon, I ran across this and bookmarked it for "just in case". It's an organic, FDA registered homeopathic fissure medicine that some seem to find helpful. Might be worth checking out? http://www.amazon.com/Forces-N...ords=fissure+control.

I have WAY fewer issues with fissures and cuffitis, and spend tons less on various butt creams since I got my bidet. It seriously changed my life. You can buy the biobidet i3000 model for $180 (just a happy customer, not affiliated with the company).

It's been worth it's weight in gold and has moved me from living with chronic pain of 4/10 to 0/10 and way fewer episodes of acute pain than before as well.

Does the biget just help clean out better even if the anastomosis is very tight? I try to use a squirt water bottle but when the fissures are really painful it is very hard to use.

Yes, it cleans out better even if the anastomosis is very tight. IMO That's when you need it most.I had a hand held sprayer hooked to the stools water source. It was nice but nothing compares to a bidet and it didn't help water to get inside my j-pouch. I have a portable bidet, squirt bottle, that I take with when I'm gone over night. It doesn't compare to using my bidet. I know the bidet's helped with my cuffitis. I use the "turbo" spraying function for partial enema like cleaning without doing a full enema to help my pouch completely empty.

It's all good as having less excrement sitting around inside my pouch is less irritation for cuffits. I imagine it would help fissures too. I got a Coco bidet on sale for $329 and wish I'd gotten it right at take down. $180 sounds good too!
