On Saturday, my pouch turned 24!

On 1/10/91 (1/10 is my dad's birthday! What a birthday present he got that year!), I went to surgery around 5:30am, and returned to my floor that night around 8:30pm, J pouch created, loop ileostomy hanging out (who I named Babs and who was my buddy for 4 months).

I still have a really decent acting pouch, this far in, honestly (4-6x a day, no overnight BMs usually). She gets finicky here and there, yes, I have edited my diet a bit the older I get, and, yeah, I have a simple fistula that I'd rather not have and am on meds again, but here I am doing way better than I did with a colon, so...

God bless my pouch, and here's to many more years! I hope.
