I finall got in to see the specialist for the Arteriograph...just a Doppler or ultrasound in colour of the arteries and veins.

He did everything from my eyelids to behind my ears and neck on down.

Everything was great until they came to the left ileac artery. He found the site of the anurysm...apparently it had discected at some previous time and closed itself (coagulated? healed?) and is now thickened (?) on one wall.

He is not worried, told me that it is not something to panic about and that I can go back to living normally. ( not in terror of an exploding anurysm)...just to keep an eye on it regularly.

Much ado about nothing I guess.

Thanks Janet,

Just one thing that he said that sounded interesting...that maybe the artery had been accidently nicked during one of my surgeries and had been repaired without it having been mentioned...not unheard of in the history of medicin...

As long as it is fine I am thrilled...I was impressed by the thoroughness of the doctor...it took over an hour and he covered every single inch of my arteries right down to to the inguinal.

Good news is nice for a change

Sharon
