Hi,
I may be accepting a great new job in Lake Tahoe, CA. My problem is I need a good GI (I'm on Humira for Crohn's) and a colo-rectal surgeon (I have a J-pouch with frequent pouchitis). I'm looking in the Sacramento/Davis area or the Carson City/Reno area. There is no one in Lake Tahoe. Thanks for any suggestions.

Who does the scopes depends on experience and familiarity, mainly. My GI treats a lot of j-pouchers so she prefers to perform the scopes, as she feels she has more experience doing it than my surgeon, who primarily MAKES the dang things. On the other hand, it can be hard to find a GI who's comfortable even *treating* a j-pouch no less scoping it, which is why surgeons sometimes prefer to do it themselves.
