My mom has it and has a pump. Super rare and she’s had no problems once she had the thing put in. She says she’ll eventually have to have the batteries changed or something. Once in a great while the timing will get messed up and she’ll have to get it reconfigured - or whatever you call it- so it stimulates her stomach to empty regularly. She knows it’s messed up bc she feels so sick to her stomach and can’t keep anything down. The draw back to getting it done is that she can never throw up again. It ruins your reflux method or whatever u call it. Hope it helps you!

I was just diagnosed with gastricparesis

my physician suggest waiting 6 months to see if it goes away before treating it.
I have constant Neusea , no appetite .
he said he doesn’t want to treat with meds due to side affects to pouch but suggested Botox injection …..

I am limited on info due to just being diagnosed
