Three colorectal surgeons have refused to do one of these for me. They say our type of surgery weakens our sphincters, and that it offers a high risk of incontinence afterwards because of that.

Let us know how you do after.  Also, what type of fistula do you have?  Mine is a common simple intrasphincteric one "at 7 o'clock."  Does not involve my pouch. I have had a seton off and on for over 2 years.
