Fissures & Sex after Colectomy | The J-Pouch Group

So here is my first post and rant as well. I have had a j pouch for 4 months now, and things are still frustrating. For one I have been dealing with fissures non stop since my surgery. I have tried topicals and nothing seems to work. So frustrated and in constant pain. Then Sex is great, but what isn't is the chance that I might have an accident during sex. Anyone else have these problems. HELP! I am going crazy.

I have been dealing with fissure for a couple of months now. I take rectiv cream and a lot of warm baths. Increase your water. I am also trying more vitamin e, fish oil and oatmeal w flax. I have a recurring stricture which causes straining and is the reasons for the fissures. It's important not to strain also.

Keeping one part of the brain on the "oh god don't pooh". is why sex is great. You not getting caught up in the "oh oh going to Orgasim". My $.02.
