I had J-pouch surgery 9 years ago and since then have had recurrent pouchitis (once or twice a year), and stomach pain/cramping every day.  I haven't found a gastroenterologist who seems familiar with long-term management of J-pouch health issues.  Currently, my prescriptions are lomotil, PPI's, bentyl, and  antibiotics and flagyl when pouchitis flares up.  My doctor says that she is sorry that the medication isn't helping and doesn't have any other suggestions. I am in a system where I don't have another option right now for another GI doctor, but may be able to change in March.  Has anyone had a good experience with a GI doc in the Denver area?
