Hi everyone. I just had my last gastrograffin enema x-ray. I have been struggling with an anal fistula since October of 2017. After three months of hurry up and wait, it still wasn't resolved. Then my surgeon put in a stitch as he called it in Feb. Now my third x-ray finally says no more fistula and I can finally have my surgery. Thank God, don't want to have anymore of those xrays. Anyway. Can you guys tell me what I should take to the hospital with me. I have stuff for butt burn and wet wipes. Surgery is May 15th. Ten days before my 59th. birthday. What a gift! If you would have told me twenty years ago I would have thought having the ability to crap out my butt as a gift, I would have thought you were crazy. Anyway, thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Haha happy birthday! I had my takedown 4 days after my wedding! Happy honeymoon!

I think the wipes and lotion for your butt, that’s key. Also, u may want to bring some liners or some depends just in case. It was hard for me to retain for a little bit, including the ride home.

Other than that, I think it’s par for the course. Just be prepared for some gas pains and some stomach pain from closing the incision. You’ll do great! Good luck!
