Thanks everyone for replying to any of my previous threads, I have been part of a mustang forum for 8 years and maybe its because its a car forum but you guys stick to the topic at hand..its nice lol

well my problem currently is i feel like i am sometimes sitting on a tennis ball right on my rectum area, i emailed my surgeon this morning because i am do to go back to work this coming Thursday, June 06 and was hoping this would be gone..does this sound like a semi normal thing on my way to healing?
Takedown was on April 30th, at some point..a week after going home they think i had pouchitis, was given cipro and flagyl for two weeks, no blood after one night on those meds and i continued them for two weeks, than i had a rectal exam to look for stricture, doc said there was no stricture but judging from what some of you said i believe she dilated me anyway because i felt so inflammed and started going to the bathroom alot more after that exam, just now starting to feel normalish again, except for this pressure when im sitting down, i have it when i am standing too, i feel like i actually have to use my kegel muscles when i stand to keep from feeling so much pressure pushing down!

Your description I think is almost diagnostic, as it seems to be what many, if not most people say they feel like when there is pelvic floor dysfunction, levator syndrome, in particular. Basically, it is muscle spasms. It was probably what was going on after your rectal exam too. Hot soaks in the tub can help, muscle relaxers too. If they don't do it, then pelvic floor physical therapy or biofeedback may be necessary.

You are not alone, as quite a few members here have had this problem. It can be persistent and a real bugaboo...

Hope the info helps.
