I have gone back to the Cleveland Clinic twice since getting my j-pouch in 2002. The first time my procedure was completely successful, alas the second was not. Dr. Shen says not to give up that there are many surgical procedures that can be done prior to removing the j-pouch. It is necessary for me to go to Cleveland because no Gastro in either Seattle, Washington nor Phoenix, Arizona will do anything but removing the pouch! Dr. Shen has me hooked up with a gastro in Chandler that studied under him. This works very well! Next stop HUMIRA per the gastro in Chandler, if, and when I get cleared that is! Thank you Jan!

Good luck! I hope the Humira helps. At leadt it is worth a shot. Those R/V fistulas can real buggers from what I understand, and resistant to every form of treatment.
