I have had a J-Pouch since 1997 and "knock on wood" everything has been great minus a few bumps in the road.
I sometimes get a little alarmed because I might see blood on the TP after a BM. Mainly on the paper but I can't tell when I look in the bowel. It may occur for a few days and then go away for weeks without any evidence of blood. I eat a healthy diet but stay away from nuts, raw vegetables, corn, popcorn and very spicy foods to name a few off the top of my head.
I'm curious if other people experience a similar situation? I don't think it's pouchitis because I do eat "mild" salsa, red marinara sauce and cooked veggies with a reddish color.
Does anyone experience a similar situation?
