Anyone ever used this before? I was supposed to buy it six months ago but have been putting it off due to lack of insurance, I finally just broke down and bought it for the pharmacy's price. I never knew how many problems an anal fissure could cause! I definitely feel a "spasm" sort of movement when I go, I was told to put it on three times a day and after every bm. Has anyone had a positive experience with this? I feel like the anal fissure takes away quite a bit of quality of life for being such a small tear, I'm ready for it to be gone--and never come back!
Thanks
Kelsey

I hope it is helping. I have not had a fissure but have chronic cuffitis. It amazes me how such a little bit of tissue can cause so much pain! I've been told it is because there are many nerves in the area. My stoma didn't hurt and it was a twisted small intestine. The nurses said it didn't hurt as the intestine didn't have any nerves. They must have meant on the inside because my j-pouch definitely gets painful.

I hope you are feeling better.
I have been using it and it has definitely provided a lot of relief but I still have issues with this fissure. They are the worst! I'll admit though that I have not always been consistent using the cream. I dread it since it causes some intense itching (I don't think everyone has this problem though). I'm thinking about botox at this point.
Thanks so much! Yeah I've been more rigid this time with the cream than I have any other time I've had a fissure. Usually I'd use the cream until my bothersome symptoms went away. But this time I want it gone for good! It's painful, especially when I have gas, then it can spasm sometimes. I do sitz baths as well, trying to do at least two a day, but it's hard to fit it in on school days!
I saw on other websites a lot of people take stool softeners, but there are obvious reasons I'm apprehensive to do that. Is there anything else I can do to help speed up the healing process? Thankfully my Dr. gave me 3 refills on it, because I read it can take a couple months.
I'm definitely seeing improvement already because it doesn't burn as much when I apply it.
