Dilated j-pouch ?

The opening between my small intestines and top of my j-pouch had a balloon dilation at the top of my pouch today during a pouch scope. I'll find out more when I have my GI consultation tomorrow. I'm having a GI X-Ray with contrast before the consult too.

Does anyone know if once you need these do you need them repeated very often? I am relieved it was fixed like this. I'm hoping that's all that is wrong because I don't want another surgery.

I had my done about a month ago and things are so MUCH better but I am starting to get some small symptoms again. I think that I'll need another dilatation soon.

Thanks for responding. I'm on my way for the results consultation and your information is helpful. I had a GI X-ray with contrast this morning and am glad to be done with tests!
