hello all,

I had just a few questions about diet post takedown.  I had my jpouch created on march 20 the second surgery as I’m on a three step plan.  I’m feeling pretty good I’m back at the gym and going for 20-30 km bike several times as week but I’ve noticed now that i am starting to get hungrier.  The only problem is i notice when I dump my pouch not all but quite a bit of what I’m eating isn’t getting digested. It’s just coming out like it went in.  I’m supposed to be getting my take down in 4-6 weeks so I’m not overly concerned by that but i do wonder if i will still be getting that post takedown.  Has anyone come across some good books for a jpouch diet? Or any helpful tips. I do take Imodium daily.

Fruits , dairy items , nuts , and some other fiber rich foods can come out partially or wholly intact. Its normal. I used to drink a big glass of fruit and vegetable juice just to see them come out lol. Till you have the bag its easy to eat anything as they all just collect in the bag but once reconnected you'll probably have to maintain a food diary. I can eat pretty much everything now but sometimes I can see what I ate  comes out .
