I've had problems for years with my ability to have a "complete" bowel movement and have been in pelvic floor physical therapy (on and off for years) because things are quite tight down there.  My pelvic floor physio recently recommended that I see a doctor to have a Defecating Proctogram done.

Curious if others have had that done and what you did with the results that you received...

I was having feelings of incomplete emptying despite pelvic PT and had one done at Cleveland Clinic (ordered by my doctor Bo Shen...the rumors are true - he is amazing). The test can show any structural issues that might also be going on with the pouch. It was quick and painless, and instant results.

If you have ongoing issues I think it's a good idea to explore vs. risk waiting and suffering. BUT - be sure you have a doctor that you're confident in when it comes to handling any results. I suffered for over 5 years before I saw Bo. I still have ongoing issues but he was the one to figure out why and we are finally working on straightening things out.
