I discovered that my chronic pouchitis turned out to be Crohn's for which I have now begun receiving Stelara, firt by infusion, and now by injection. Has anyone had that happen to them, and if you took Stelara, did it help?  An IBD specialist i consulted said that it takes Stelara 4-6 months this to take effect.  Yikes!

Thanks so much for your reply.  I have had 1 infusion initially and then 2 injections since.  There was a time lapse of at least 8 weeks before my first injection while i was waiting for Johnson & Johnson to approve my getting the injections free.  So far I see no big difference in my disease.  In fact, after the injection, I seem to get worse for about a week at least.  It's very frustrating.  I hope I will do as well as you when I have been on Stelara that long.
