I lost my cardigan today I took it off so many times! It all of was 60* out today and I was dying of sweat! Even in the morning when it was still in the fifties I was sweating. When I had UC I used to get really sweaty, but that could have been due to the steroids, I'm not sure. Regardless, today I've had crazy diarrhea coupled with being constantly drenched in sweat. I took Pepto last night, and I spent a night at my mom's while my brother had a sinus infection. Could it have anything to do with those or is this just the joy of my constantly-malfunctioning j-pouch? It's increasingly difficult to stay hydrated the more normally I try to live my life (ie school & work).
I used to have a PICC line when they did my ileo and sometimes I miss that thing, I could just hook up and rehydrate just sitting there!
Thanks for reading,
Kelsey

Kelsey,
Could you be getting the flu? Apparently it is starting to go around...if so, hydrate smart by increasing your salt/glucose when drinking (homemade lemonaide with a pinch of salt and honey instead of sugar is great or honey/lemon tea, chicken soup...)...the other possibilities are that your hormones are going nuts...coming off of long-term cortisone use can do it and so can our surgeries...then there are the 'normal' gyn things like ovarian cysts that can send your hormone levels off and cause the excessive heat and sweating.
Stay hydrated and start by process of elimination...make sure that you don't have the flu.
Hugs
Sharon
