Any ideas why my B12 would be through the roof high? Not only have I had a colectomy with a J-pouch, but also have lost much of my small bowel due to a small bowel obstruction cuttung off the blood supply. I have very little left of the small intestine. Most often you hear of low B12 and need for supplementation but mine is crazy high (like double the high end of normal). Thanks for any input.

I'm not doing B12 injections, but do take Forvia multivit only 1/day, and it does have really high B12. But I was on it for years with normal B12 and then all of a sudden it was high.

Would liver problems like you are mentioning show up on a comprehensive metabolic panel? I just had one done a few days ago and the numbers look within normal range. My albumin is at the lower end of normal, but still within range of what is considered standard according to the numbers provided on the lab printout. Many thanks Jan.
