2 years with J having some difficulty with complete emptying. I take 5 mg of oxycodone per day for neuropathy related to a spinal cord injury. Could this medicine be a blocking agent? I have taken it since my reversal surgeries along with 1 loperimide at night but have stopped taking the loperimide because of a first and only experience with a partial obstruction 2 weeks ago. Now, having trouble with complete emptying. Wondering about fiber supplements/oatmeal for regularity and binding without constipation/obstruction. Any thoughts or comments welcome. Thank you.

Hi. I don't have an answer about the hydrocodine, although when I looked it up it is an opiate so that can slow things down. I think it was a good idea to stop the loperamide for now because of the scare you had. I would just think to keep things moving, drink a lot of water and even white grape juice at times. I would think that maybe the fiber/oatmeal might bulk things up and you might just want to keep things loose and moving through easier.

Just throwing this out there, hopefully someone will have ideas to post for you.
