I did not have surgery with Dr. Tracy Hull at Cleveland Clinic but had quite a remarkable and comprehensive consult/scope with her. She and Dr. Shen seemed to be working together. They were in communication about my case as I was in with her. He was the one to initiate my appointment with her. Again, I don't have surgical experience with her but I do know she is a colorectal surgeon of 30 or so years, and seems to have the respect of Dr. Shen. It may be worth checking out. Good luck to you.

My pouch was done in '93, and I eventually developed fistulas/abscesses.  Dr. Shen finally sent me to Dr. Hull, who placed setons.  After too many abscesses and other problems, we both agreed the pouch needed to come out.  She disconnected it first while things healed, and then removed it a year later.  The surgical process went so much better than I anticipated - in fact, I haven't been back to see her (or any other surgeon/GI doc) since then.  Her entire team was great.
