Re: Cipro/Flagyl/Pouchitis

So I've noticed that whenever I'm taking these antibiotics in conjunction I have "normal" stools of pancake batter consistency. However, a week or so when I'm off them I have the worst watery stools similar to a fire hose spewing out my butt. Is this normal? A sign of Pouchitis? The other issue is I'm so extremely bloated and gassy when I'm on these antibiotics so I feel I lose either way.

I'm not sure what "normal" means, but have you tried a thickener, like Metamucil or Citrucel?

I mean normal as can be for a Jpouch. I've never tried Metamucil, I do have lomotil but, it litetally does nothing for me.
