Right. As per my post on 3/11, I've been having weird output from my completely disconnected pouch. Increase in liquid -- sometimes having to run to the toilet for that! -- and thin output the same colour as the output in my stoma bag. I simply could not figure out how it could possibly be fecal output -- impossible, right?

Yes, well. I've been tracking it closely and I am now convinced I am having fecal output anally from my pouch. Which is impossible because it is completely disconnected and I have an end stoma. Or is it?

Pfffft. What are the chances that my stupid body has developed a fistula between my pouch and the portion of small intestine leading to the stoma? Here's what I notice: when the stoma output is very thin (generally first thing in the morning), I have the same output anally. Same colour, same consistency, same odour. Even, I am sure, teeny-tiny food particles. The other day I had thinner than normal consistency for about 24 hours, and had the same exact output (smaller amounts) anally for the same amount of time.

If that is the case, then obviously the stupid pouch has to come out, right? And I would guess this means I really do have full-blown Crohn's Disease as well?

I have a phone appointment with my surgeon set for Tuesday; my guess is the first step will be a scope. Trying to walk the line between not freaking out and being practical about the possibility of yet another surgery.

Anyone have experience with this?
