FYI - now is the time to sign your kids up for Camp Oasis if you are interested. Crohn's Colitis Foundation of America sponsors and helps fund this camp every year. Cost is about $400 / week, but there are (partial) scholarships available for those who cannot afford paying that much for camp. Any child who has been diagnosed with Crohn's or Colitis is eligible (including j-pouchers).

I think my daughter is going to attend this camp for the first time this year. It will be good for her to be with other kids who suffer with IBD, who have ostomies, and who have j-pouches. Being a j-poucher, she may be one of the healthier kids at camp.

Let me know if you want more details - I'll try to find them. Or, go to http://www.ccfa.org/get-involved/camp-oasis/ to find out more and to register (there is quite a bit of paperwork).
