Hi all,

I'm having a pouchitis flare, as I tend to once a month. This is only the second time I've gone on antibiotics to deal with it (first time was two months ago) and I'm a little concerned because while the frequency, consistency and urgency improved immediately when I began taking Cipro on Saturday, I started having watery stool, stomach aches and excess gas again yesterday. I'm on day 5 of 10 and not sure if I should call my doctor yet to say it's not completely helping or give it a few more days. I'm also trying to not diagnose myself with C-Diff, which I know Cipro can enable. Has any one else had a similar experience?

Thanks!

janine

Update - about an hour after posting that I went it was normal! ("Normal" for me these days is small, formed pieces kind of like cheetos.) I've since gone twice more with the same results, now I'm thinking the gas and discomfort is a side-effect of the Cipro and I should just ride it out. But if anyone has input I'm still curious!
