I’m reasonably sure that not all antibiotics predispose one to C. diff. Cipro & Levaquin are the chief culprits, and (for example) I don’t think Flagyl OR Vancomycin would ever lead to such an infection (Flagyl can *treat* C diff, but it’s not very effective). I’m not sure about rifaximin, but I don’t think it’s associated with C. diff. A stool test is the best way to diagnose it (though there are lousy stool tests available, unfortunately). Flu or Covid-19 seem more likely than C. diff, and almost every antibiotic can cause diarrhea without any infection at all.

Agreed, thank you so much Rifaximin is used to treat c diff so it would seem strange that you could get it from it.

All you need is my nose to diagnose C Diff.  I'm a paediatric ER nurse too and I just have to smell the diarrhea (eww gross I know) to know for sure.  Please have a stool sample done to rule it out and make sure you stay very well hydrated.  Wash with soap and water as alcohol based hand rubs will NOT get rid of C diff (family members too as you don't want to spread it).  Good luck.
