My surgeon wanted to see me before giving me any more Flagyl because I had been on it for ten days and I improved some but the second day I was off of it my pouchitis symptoms returned.  I had a blood draw yesterday and they called me today and said my platelets were clumping together so they think there was something wrong with tube my blood was in.  They asked me to go back today and I did and they called me to tell me my platelet count is at 29 and normal is 150-450.  They said it typically it means there is internal bleeding somewhere but I am not bleeding and my surgeon did an rectal exam and i just have irritation bleeding from wiping.  So I have to go back tomorrow for another blood draw.  Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them?  It's been five years since my takedown.  Thanks!
