Hello all...I am back to work ant so far so good. Able to get to the bathroom when needed as of now.. The problem I am now experiencing is my job can get strenuous at times and I am now taking in more water than when I was recovering at home. I am not dehydrated but my issue now is the amount of water I drink seems to affect my output. I was doing well with psyllium husk and diet at home but now in the evening it all turns to water. Anyone have any suggestions to avoid this watery output? Or is this normal when your water intake increases?

If it’s just drinking too much water you could probably cut back, as long as you’re peeing enough (and it’s light-colored). When do you use the psyllium husk? I find that taking it with breakfast and dinner covers much of the day. There’s also the option of not paying much attention to the consistency, as long as you don’t have urgency.

Thank you both for the fast replies

I take the psyllium at breakfast lunch and dinner. I don’t have much urgency which is good. Just wasn’t expecting that outcome after work. I think it is something I can get used to, much like everything else post takedown.

You are welcome! And you will get use to it, do not worry. I was in your shoes 6 years ago, everything will be fine! The hardest part for me back then was getting up overnight, but I got use to that as well.

Is your boss understanding of your needs???

My boss is understanding but I don’t work in an office with a bathroom nearby. I work at customers houses working on gas appliances and on gas meters. Covid-19 has made locating bathrooms much more difficult. Been working for 2 weeks now so far so good.

So happy to hear that! Its hard to find understanding people nowadays. I am glad your work is going good!

Are you okay going to the bathroom overnight now???

Lauren...  I go 2 times each night.  Sometimes I only go 1. I sleep really well and luckily feel really rested everyday.

Scott.. I have found that lomotil and Imodium cause me to strain trying to empty. Maybe it will work for me later as I am only 3 months post take down, but for now I am staying away from them.

You are soo lucky!!! Usually 9%ers go more overnight! I see you are a lucky 9%er lol.

And yeah, I do not take loperamide anymore myself and I am 6 years out. Maybe you will not need it ever
