I discovered a chiropractor one mile from our house that knows how to do ART, active release therapy, to break up adhesion's. Today was my second appointment and I think this is going to work! She tested me in the first hour long appointment, studied up on what the hell j-pouches are etc. Today she started doing the release technique on my abdomen and I can really feel it. She thinks she will have me turned around by the first week in February. She's also working on my other problems at the same time. Like my right hip and so forth and the horrible shape of the rest of my body.
I'd tried to find someone with the training close to where I live over 2 years ago. Some Physical Therapists and DC's go through the training. I went to the Web site about ACT and simply put in my zip code to find her. If you have scar tissue and/or adhesions hampering you after surgery I highly recommend you find out if there is someone close to you that you can go too. I just lucked out that her office was so close to me
I just wanted to tell you some thing positive as I'm usually bitching and moaning. The day I can quit taking Norco, hydrocodone and tylenol, daily is something I can envision. It has been a long 4 years. I think 6-8 weeks might be aggressive but hope I am wrong
