I am experiementing a lot with diets and I am going to try a meat only diet. I have done it before and felt great, but without a colon I wonder if things can get too loose. Im using it as an elimination diet so I can see what bothers me and then reintroduce foods. Anyone who has any experiment with this? I am 4 weeks out from my takedown.

Hey @Fredz

I haven’t tried a ‘meat only’ diet but I do consume a lot of meat during the week. I’ve heard many people say that meat is not good for us but I think the contrary. I find that meat, while on the heavier side of foods, is very nourishing and actually helps firm up my BM. I think that the protein in it is very beneficial to us J-Poucher’s considering the amount of it we loose when we have loose BM and just in general. I would recommend it, but incorporate other food too. Don’t stuff yourself or ONLY eat meat, that’s no good. You’re only 4 weeks takedown, and since meat is kind of a heavy food I would incorporate it slowly with your meals. Give it time! I personally eat meat 4-5 times a week and it’s been great for my pouch.

Hope that helps!
