Re: Anyone in South Florida?

Hi there,

It has been a few years since I posted to this board. I was diagnosed with UC in 1995, had a total colectomy in 1998, and take down in 1999. For the first ten years, I was loving life, but as I've got older, I have more issues with scar tissue pain and pouchitis.

I recently moved to West Palm Beach, FL and I looking for a support group or individuals with j-pouch and\or UC. I need to build my own person support group and become less isolated from the world! So, if you live anywhere near me, and want to get together for a chat, please reply to this message.

We are in northern Florida - however my husband has had pouchitis too - he does not take perscription medication when he gets hints of it now - he takes a very strong probiotic twice daily - I mean 50 to 70 billion per capsule - it works for him. He also avoids his trigger foods too to avoid the dreaded sting he often gets.
