The only way I can describe this is simply that the anus entrance is enlarged and the muscle feels weak.  There seems to be very little tightening ability as if the muscle has atrophied.   I have had my J pouch for 2 1/2 years.  I have had chronic itchy fissures and, of course, the usual burning that most of us complain of.  Of late, I have had some fecal incontinence on occasion at night and, more disturbing, light fecal incontinence in the day. I have tried Kegel exercises, but I feel I can't even squeeze tightly.  I am a good weight and am fit for my 64 years.  I just feel that things are worsening.  Had a pouchoscopy two weeks ago and the surgeon said the pouch looked fine but didn't comment about the anus.  To top it off, my tailbone and down the left inner buttock is painful.  Does anyone have this combination of issues?

Thanks Lauren.  They say from CT no blockage, but every day by 5 p.m. the distention, discomfort and Lau. Behind the d ostomy is so bad. I can't get co.for table sitting. 2 hours later after a four BMs thia partly resolves only to happen every day exactly the same. This has been 4 seeks now.  Same diet. I think my bowel got kinked behind the old ostomy.  It has never felt right there. Waiting for GI appt.
