Hey everyone,

Just checking in after my takedown which was on Oct 23 2019.  Generally i think i am doing well but i had some questions to see if what I’m going through is normal or anything to be taking a bit more serious.  I had my bag for 13 months as my first surgery was Sept of 2018. This being said i am thinking that maybe a slower progress is the norm as i think that’s a fair amount of time to be using a bag.  I currently go to the bathroom between 6-10 times a day. There is really no rhyme or reason some days i can hold it and have no problem and others it seems like as soon as I stand up I have to go. I seem to have good days and bad ones. Again no rhyme or reason as to why they are bad. My diet is fairly plain chicken and rice, pasta those kind of things. Ive had a few times since i was discharged where i have noticed a bit of blood in my stool. Is that normal? My weight is staying about the same just fluxing a few pounds up and down but generally within 5 lbs. Some days i have good energy and feel well i get out for a walk for an hour or do a workout at home or at the gym but others i struggle to even get off the couch.  Would you guys say this sounds normal for a typical recovery?  I am growing impatient after all this time off work and at home i just want to get things going. The bad days really make me wonder if it will get better for a prolonged period of time.  The last 2 months have been the most inactive i have been though all this and i understand that it will get better. Just wondering if I’m on the right track or not.  I go back to my surgeon on the 28 so getting maybe a little insight from you knowledgeable lot would be great.  All i take right now is Metamucil in the morning, daily multi vitamins and probiotics.  I was taking about 3-6 Imodium a day but have stopped that for now but am thinking i might start again to see if it helps. Thanks for your help guys this site has been a great source of info and knowledge for me throughout this process.
