Im about 7 months out from takedown. life has been pretty good after the initial issues. Recently treated for suspected pouchitis vs cuffitis with canasa suppositories which I think at least calmed down any symptoms. BUT... does anyone have daily nagging stomach aches??? Feels like every afternoon I have a stomach ache that starts around 5:30 pm. wake in the morning and its gone. I also have sort of a baseline pressure feeling at my bottom thats just enough to notice every evening. I would love to say I feel completely normal but I just dont ha. nothing severe. hasnt affected QOL too much just increased frequency at night and nagging abdominal pain. the GI says if I have anymore rebound symptoms from my most recent suspected cuffitis flare ill need to go back for a scope.... thoughts? anyone experienced it?

I am 7 months post takedown same as you. Do you have any gas built up in your stomach ? I can be in form of pockets ? I only get aches when I eat too much gassy foods. The gas in my body causes it to ache at different sites and the excess pressure on the bottom from it makes the muscles in the lower area sore. If your output is of same consistency as usual and there is no trace of blood/pus in your stool I would say you're just having a hard time trying to hold back things. You can lay down and release gas its very comfirting lol. Also try doing some kegels to strengthen the sphincter muscles.

Thanks for the reply Raj! Nice to talk to you again. Nah honestly I never have what I would consider “gas pains” I do think I need to pass gas and it gets harder to pass the more “inflamed” it feels. Just nagging and depressing pain ha. I know I have it good considering though. Iv never had issues with gassy foods or beer or anything like that. I only drink one beer or soft drink in a setting though. The only thing that happens with me is increase in stool count or looser stools with some foods. Just cant pin down the daily stomach aches

Have you done your bloodwork recently ?Maybe its the deficiency of iron or dehyration causing these symptoms. I was told by my surgeon iron deficiency is pretty common and can go unnoticed but can cause many issue like cramping.

Suebear im not real sure ha. It doesnt feel like a classic stomach upset. Not affected that I can tell by food or anything... its weird i guess. Feels like when I had UC to be honest just not the bloody stool or urgency really. Raj i had bloodwork a couple months ago. Iv NEVER had iron abnormalities even when I was bleeding (excapt prior to surgery with severe UC) ha. Im an anomaly. Man Idk. Us people with pouches because of UC I think theres deeper autoimmune stuff going on thats not fully understood. My issues are more annoying than severe so I guess I shouldnt take up too much of yalls time but being honest.... people that live with this often know more than our physicians. Thank you all!
