I am going to have the 2nd surgery to build the pouch on 8/18.  I'll be in the hospital for about 5 days then home recouperating for about 6 weeks.  I have a 2 story home and I'm wondering how it's going to be trying to maneuver stairs when I get home.  Did any of you have any difficulty with stairs and if so, how long after the surgery until you felt comfortable with them.  As a side note, my house was built in 1928 so the stairs are very steep, not quite stairs yet not quite a ladder, just steep and narrow steps.
I look forward to all your advice, you are a great and knowledgeable group!!

May be best to plan on having your bed and bathroom on the same floor for the first couple of weeks.  As for stairs it all depends on how soon you recover and when your last pain med was taken, you will just have to wait and try things out for sure you will not be able to climb at the rate you use to but just take it slow and you will be fine.
