2nd day after takedown

I had my takedown on Thursday and felt great. However, Friday came and I am in so much pain.my ribs were hurting and the stoma site is painful. My dr ordered a graphite X-ray to make sure no leaks. He was just being precautions. Thankfully, no leak. I have a lot of gas, but haven't past it. When did you first have a bowel movement after takedown. I think this surgery might be more painful than first. He also packed my incision, no staples.

i started going the next day but yes i found it to be way harder that the first 2 surgeries and my ribs hurt too on the right side and my stoma was bothersome but it gets better. be prepared for the itchies as it heals though. some have it easy after but im having some discomfort at certain times during the night. i am only 3 weeks out though. i was hopeful id get lucky or that those that warned me were over reacting. it can feel intolerable but really its not. dont let your psyche get in the way like i have...
