@Mysticobra posted:When I had a temporary ileo during the j pouch process I only had it 3 weeks. It caused to many problems and she took it off an connected me to my pouch. It was supposed to be a 3 step but I had two surgeries for bleeding and the third was a twisted bowl. So. While in there she just took it out. And hooked my pouch. By that time I was so sick and down to 128 pounds I didn't care.
Nah. I don't have a barbie butt. That's then they take and cut everything out there. I still have a sphincter and an anal canal. It's not sewn from the outside.
As for work.
I had a physical job. Outside in the Texas heat. I could have kept working but just flat out didn't want to.
When the opportunity arose I got my ducks in a row and left early. 32 years at one place was long enough. I know people work longer but I figured 42 plus years of working was enough. I wasn't lazy when I worked.
I figure you think 60 is old. But you will be there quick. It comes faster than ya think. And you won't feel old. I have two boys older than you. 35 and 43. Now you made me feel old. Hahahaha
I don't think most with an ileo are tired. Some days I am. Some days I plug through.
I remember tired. With a pouch. I was lucky to get 3 hours of sleep and then work 8 hours. That doesn't include the pre and post work and one hour drive back and forth. Then I had completely exhausted myself and still only got 3 hours of sleep.
Now that's all ancient history. Sorta. I don't think about it much. I'm in a different place now. Better place.
Dang you have been through a lot! Sorry for all of the complications you have had. Its amazing how you do not have problems with the ileostomy now like you did back then- that is good! Hopefully you do not get anymore problems now. I am glad you are not getting any blockages- those hurt like HELL! Its like trying to pass a baseball. Your kids do not have UC?
