Reply to "SIBO"

I thought I had SIBO years ago and changed my diet. It did help for a while and I thought I had it figured out. A little over a year ago I started to have the same symptoms plus feeling like glass when I pooped. I had diarrhea for nine days. I could not sleep because I was afraid of leakage which I was having. I had to put a panty liner on to help with the leakage. I was grocery shopping and I had gas so bad I could not hold it back. It was long and loud. I was glad I was not in a busy part of the store. I ended up going to the ER in July 2020. I was very weak but because I was not dehydrated, I was sent home. I tried to explain that I had a low-anterior resection due to rectal cancer. I felt I was speaking a foreign language to the ER doctor. So many doctors do not understand. She looked at me like she did not know what I was talking about. I went home and was frustrated. I called my pc and she had me take antibiotics. I told my doctor at the time I thought it was pouchitis. She put me on a strong anitbiotic and helped with the diarrhea. I started to feel better but soon was feeling yucky again. I went online to do some research. I realized I may have a gluten intolerance. I cut out all gluten and also foods that are a problem with leaky gut. I slowly brought back some foods that are a problem with leaky gut and I tolerated them. So, now I am on a gluten-free diet and have felt pretty darn good. I take a powder suppliment that I bought on Amazon called "Pure" for leaky gut. It has helped me tremendously! My stools have been more solid and am not in the bathroom as much as before I started taking it. I need to get more strength back. Working on that. I had been dealing with so many bathroom issues since my surgery in February 2009. I felt my life was just going to be staying home close to the bathroom. Now I am venturing out all times of the day. I feel so much more confident since taking "Pure". There are many different issues that resemble an auto immune disease. I wish I would have been listened to. Now I have short-term memory problems. I can be talking with someone and actually forget what we were talking about. I hope this gets better. I have not had a formal diagnosis yet but feel so much better. If you have any questions you can DM me. I hope you can get your situation under control. Know you are not alone here. There are so many wonderful people on this forum that are willing to help. I thought it was SIBO and it could have been but so many auto-immune diseases have a lot of similarities.
