Rectal coccyx manipulation

I have been dealing with tailbone pain for a very long time, only affects me when sitting for a prolonged period of time; I have no issues with my pouch.  I recently had a mri on my pelvic area which showed inflammation around the coccyx bone, so doctor sent me to physical therapy.  Upon evaluating me it turns out that All the pelvic floor muscles/ligaments are tight;, thus making my tailbone out of place and painful.  Now physical therapist wants to do internal manipulation of the tailbone via the rectum.  Is it ok if they go into my rectum to do this, or am I going to jeopardize my pouch?
