Qing Dai - Experiment Working So Far

Hi All,   I posted some things a few months ago when it seems like I was/am headed fast toward a chronic pouchitis situation with my docter also expecting I could have Crohns as well based on a scope earlier this year.  I also have psoriasis and was about to start humira in March, but because of COVID i decided to delay. Cipro and Flagyl are still tried and true so I fell back on those to control the pouchitis. They worked great but I always have a desire to find that one herbal unicorn out there that'll do the job for as gently as possible. My GI was gonna try me on a lower dose of Cipro for maintenance.  I've always been one to try natural remedies and some have worked in the past but then stopped. One was candigone. During COVID I scoured online and ended up giving Qing Dai a try which has positive evidence for helping with Ulcerative COlitis which was my underlying condition before surgery. There is a UC forum on the website healingwell.com which you find a lot of posts about this among other things. So far this has been working well and I feel great. I get the qing dai off Amazon, the one in granule form. I'm find two scoops a day (one in the morning and one before bed) works well. I was sent qing dai tablets (instead of the granules) by mistake one month and it didn't seem to work quite as well but still worked. This won't necessarily work for anyone else, but in the spirit of sharing what seems to be working for me right now, there you are. There are some reported negative liver effects of the qing dai but I haven't experience any yet. I do have PSC as well, so its something I watch. It is a herb that seems to be used extensively in traditional chinese medicine.
